Cheryl has hinted that she might not be done with music just yet after a fan spotted her name listed on a song called Let You.

The former Girls Aloud singer said that she would quit music if her single Love Made Me Do It, which was released last November, failed to hit the high notes with sales.

But an eagle-eyed fan spotted Cheryl – named as Cheryl Ann Cole – as a credit for an unassigned track titled Let You, alongside Love Made Me Do It co-writers Jason Pebworth and George Astasio.

In response to the excited fan asking “when they would discuss the song”, Cheryl teased: “S…Some day,” with a confused face beside it.

Fans soon jumped on the tweet, joking that they would have preferred her to say “soon”.

Replying to another, Cheryl wrote: “They think it’s next. But it’s not. So I can’t say soon ... but it will be discussed!”

Cheryl, 35, had previously vowed to leave her singing career behind if her comeback single – which was her first in four years – flopped in the charts.

She told the Guardian Guide: “If it goes in at 80, it’s time for me to move on with my life. I'm not going to jump around working hard and spending time away from my son for that.”

Love Made Me Do It peaked at number 19 in the charts before sliding down to number 48, with Cheryl’s performance on The X Factor being branded “painful” by critics.

Last week, Cheryl made her debut on brand new BBC show The Greatest Dancer , as a Dance Captain alongside Oti Mabuse and Matthew Morrison.

Her TV role comes years after she left The X Factor after a second stint as a judge on the show.

Standard Online has contacted representatives for Cheryl for comment.
