As its residential renaissance gathers pace, Marylebone is expanding. Buyers are pushing west past Baker Street and east of Great Portland Street, blurring the border with Fitzrovia.

A former John Lewis warehouse in Bolsover Street is the latest project.

Behind the handsome, mellow-brick Edwardian façade are 17 flats including five duplexes and a penthouse, with elegant modern interiors.

A private courtyard garden is a haven for residents and there’s an on-site concierge.

Prices from £1.25 million. Call Knight Frank on 020 3826 0673.

Harold Pinter fans will recall the address from his 1975 play No Man’s Land, which famously has two characters absurdly discussing how to get to Bolsover Street via a complicated one-way system.

A big plus of living in this village-like central London neighbourhood is that you don’t need a car, as you can walk to most places or take a cab.
