Here is a lively — and often amusing —— tribute to the energetic and talented Jewish émigré designers who brought modernism from continental Europe to Britain, and radically transformed our design.

See iconic posters, including some created for London Underground, the General Post Office and the War Office, by the likes of Dorrit Dekk (above), FHK Henrion and Hans Schleger, and recognise classic designs including the London Transport bus stop sign, and collectibles, such as a Seventies Raleigh Chopper bike and an early Marble Run toy.

The Holiday House project comes to Britain from the US. Interior designers take over a vacant property, the public are charged admission and the profits go to charity, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
