Feast@Fitzrovia 2016: showcasing the best of Fitzrovia's vibrant food scene

Back for the third year running, restaurants, chefs, cafes, bistros and bars will be joining forces to offer Londoners the best of their dishes

To help celebrate Fitzrovia's diverse food scene, head there between June 27 and July 3 to sample bespoke dishes from special edition menus in a week-long foodie extravaganza.

Discounted food and drink offers can be downloaded via a code from the website, but many events must be booked in advance.

On July 1, Charlotte Street will be transformed as the entire road will be turned into food lovers' heaven, with 14 restaurants bringing their kitchens outside.

Look out for refreshing frozen margaritas and tacos from London Mexican chain DF/Mexico, the new venture from Wahaca founder and Masterchef winner Thomasina Miers.

Alternatively, head to Bang Bang Vietnamese Canteen to try their spring rolls and salt and chilli squid, or head to charcuterie experts Salt Yard, which will be offering spicy chorizo rolls.

Competitive chefs will be going head-to-head with their secret recipes in a beach BBQ cook-off and you can watch them cook up a storm before casting your vote after you've tasted the results: find out more on the website.

Among the other events is an experimental burger creation experience from burger experts Bobo Social. Taking place on June 27 and July 2, they'll be showcasing a range of exotic meats from alligator to kangaroo.

Tickets cost £35 and include a welcome cocktail, wine pairing and meat taster, cooking class and a bespoke burger - make sure you book in adavnce because classes are limited to just 20 people.

If you're brave enough, visit Soho Wine Supply on July 1 to take part in a spicy chilli vodka cocktail tasting session. Try it neat, in a classic Bloody Mary or even a beetroot Bloody Mary.

Round off the week with a bottomless brunch at Aussie restaurant Dickie Fitz on July 3. Book online to try their smashed avocado and banana bread french toast.
