Barbara Chandler12 May 2016

See how handmade furniture is at the cutting edge of design at this captivating show of 35 contemporary bespoke pieces from 21 small, exceptional, yet often overlooked workshops of master craftsmen and women from across the UK.

These include Marc Fish with his free formed Chaise and stunning Relic vessels, Robert Scott’s latest laminated Aeolian console table and chaircreative’s unique Dragon Kre and Razorfish seating in cast bronze and bleached timber.

Everything is for sale - tables, chairs, cabinets, boxes and lighting range from £175 to £42,000. Or chat to a craftsperson about a commission for a special gift or for your own home.

This is a London outing for the Celebration of Craftsmanship & Design annual exhibition, established in Cheltenham for over 20 years as the primary show of contemporary designer-maker furniture in the UK. The next show is 20– 29 August 2016 - well worth a summer day trip.
