Murder probe launched after woman found dead at home in Greenwich

A man was taken to hospital before being arrested on suspicion of murder
Kent Police said claims the officer had been "biased and discriminatory" were not upheld by an investigation.

Police have launched a murder investigation after a woman was found dead at a home  in Eltham.

The woman, aged 39, was discovered by police called to concerns for the welfare of the occupants at a house in Henwick Road, in the London borough of Greenwich, at 10.20pm last night.

A 41-year-old man was taken to hospital before being arrested on suspicion of murder.

Although formal identification awaits, officers are confident they know the victim’s identity.

Her next of kin have been informed and a post mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.

Police believe the deceased and the arrested male were known to each other.

Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command are investigating.
