Power up your bike ride with a bracing cup of coffee at one of London’s new cycle cafés.

VELOROLUTION

A shop and café with a detailed mission statement to get more Londoners on their bikes by 2020. It also sells electric bikes and serves robust roasts from Black Sheep coffee. Outside there’s a tricycle with a drinks machine attached designed by Sebastian Conran.

There are plenty of refuelling options at this chain, with three shops along a cycle superhighway. The Camberwell branch serves stone-baked pizza and opens late. When you’re done admiring the cycle gear, play on the pool table or Nintendo 64.

MICYCLE

The garden offers relaxing respite from the roads and members can use the tailor-made bike wash.
