Tate has announced that it will be hosting a one-off dinner with globally renowned chef Pierre Koffmann at the end of April.

An Evening with Pierre Koffmann at Tate Britain’s Rex Whistler restaurant will coincide with the closing weekend of the Impressionists in London exhibition at the gallery.

Koffmann will be in attendance at the four-course dinner, which will celebrate his reputation as one France's most influential chefs.

The menu will feature some of his best known culinary creations, including two of his signature dishes, the Pied de Cochon and his Pistachio Soufflé. Both have endured as a favourite on Koffmann’s menus from the opening of Le Tante Claire in 1977 to the closing of his eponymous restaurant at The Berkeley in 2016.

Guests will also get the chance to enjoy wine selections made by the Tate Sommeliers, a private view of the exhibition in its final week, as well as an edition of the Classic Koffmann cookbook signed by the man himself.

An Evening with Pierre Koffmann will take place on April 27. Tickets are £160. For more information and tickets, visit tate.org.uk.
