Table talk: Cecconi's

10 April 2012
Who goes there?

Madonna and Guy checked out their mate David Collins' interiors when it first reopened. Since then Helmut Newton, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Kylie
Minogue, Natasha Richardson, Joan Collins and Kate Winslet have all dined alongside assorted minor politicians, art dealers, Eurotrash and ladies who lunch.

Why?

It's the ideal place for recharging the batteries mid-shopping trip.

What do they wear?

By day, Bond Street classics: Ralph Lauren, Vuitton, Chanel. By night, it's the perfect place to work that Chloé top. For men, Savile Row is the norm, accessorised with Hermès.

Best table A corner banquette (24 is great for tête-à-têtes) or by the windows (tables 32 and 33 are popular).

Worst table Anywhere in the middle of the room - the passing traffic will drive you mad.

What to talk about

How long can the pound stay strong? Who will take the Turner Prize? The new-season Chanel.

Price: £50 for two, without wine.
