A clay oven dominates the terracotta-tiled dining room at this longstanding Portobello Road favourite, and it's the pizzas which are cooke in it which are the menu's star turns.

Made in the Neapolitan style, they boast suitably chewy bases but really excel when it comes to toppings; from creamy buffalo mozzarella to rich olive oil and full-flavoured tomatoes, the top-notch Italian produce shines through.

It's the pizza that draws in the crowds, but the pasta and gnocchi puts on a good show.
