Roast potato pop-up sold out in an hour, but more tickets are coming
A roast potato pop-up with a gravy fountain has sold 100 tickets in an hour, showing Londoner’s voracious appetite for spuds.
The pop-up Sunday Best has been created by frozen potato brand McCain and will run in Mayfair on October 23.
Those lucky Londoners who were quick-fingered when the tickets went on sale just before 10am this morning (October 1) can expect roast potato kebabs and roast dinner ice-cream 'Sundays' along with a gravy fountain for dipping – a feature which has proved a particular talking point.

The organisers told the Standard: “We can’t believe how popular the event has been, it has certainly struck a chord with roast potato fans across the UK!”
They also said that they are looking into releasing further tickets ahead of the event, advising those keen for a dip in the gravy fountain to keep an eye on the event’s ticket page for updates.
