THE SPIRITUAL link between Sir Terence Conran's Blueprint Cafè and the Design Museum is underlined by their current special offer: during the Museum's summer exhibitions (When Philip Met Isabella runs until Oct 27; Ford Thunderbirds runs until Sept 8) you can view the shows and eat a main course at the Blueprint Cafè for £15. The all-day menu offers salads, terrines and desserts.

AWARD-WINNING Indian Mela has dreamed up the Pukka Kids Menu, available from Thursday, designed to introduce children to the joys of the Subcontinent. Mela has built up a reputation for authentic, healthy food and this is no exception. Dishes are even given child-friendly names, such as Pied Piper's Flute - a thin dosa with coriander coconut chutney and cheesey baked beans; or Liliput burger - little buns stuffed with shami kebab and vegetables, served with Indian potato crisps and minty tomato ketchup.

DESPITE CRITICISMS levelled at Embassy about thuggish bouncers and too many C-list celebs, there's no denying Garry Hollihead's artistry in the kitchen (he has had Michelin stars in previous establishments).
Embassy has just launched a new summer menu, opening their doors to alfresco eating. Expect Hollihead's playful retro themes tempered with innovative use of ingredients: cocotte egg, wild mushrooms and roast veal kidney; roast sea scallop with blood orange; roast turbot Veronique with buttered leeks and summer truffles. Class.
