More gallery news: The restaurant located on the mezzanine level of The Sainsbury Wing of The National Gallery has been relaunched as

Crivelli's Garden,

At Kenwood an exhibition entitled Eat, Drink and Be Merry looks at the British at table from 1600 to 2000. The slightly snooty tone and the failure of the glass fibre food displays to look in any way convincing or alluring does not thrill, but it is a reason to reacquaint with The Iveagh Bequest, a collection of paintings with jewels such as Rembrandt's most imposing self-portrait and Vermeer's spirit-lifting The Guitar Player. Some of the dishes at The Brewhouse Cafe have been designed to reflect the exhibition which runs until 24 September.
