Honest Burgers

What: Have you tried the rosemary-salted fries yet? It’s worth coming just for these — but the burgers are really good, too.

Where: 189 Portobello Road, W11 honestburgers.co.uk

The Cow

What: While tucking into The Cow’s tender Aberdeen Angus Rib, you can unwind listening to the reggae and calypso music from the Seventies jukebox.

The Mitre

What: Start on Sunday with lovely steak sandwiches until 6.30pm, then stay on for the fun. On Monday try a salty Bloody Mary and carry on until close at 6pm.

Where: 40 Holland Park Avenue, W11 metropolitanpubcompany.com

Santo

What: Celebrate Carnival the Mexican way. Follow a beer in the forecourt with a queso fundido (melted cheese) with chilorio (chilli pork), skirt-steak burritos and ox-cheek tacos. Open as normal until 11pm on Sunday and Monday.

Where: 299 Portobello Road, W10 santovillage.com
