If you're out and about in Covent Garden this Friday, here's a fabulous little freebie for you: The Fry Family Food Co are giving away lunch for absolutely nothing.

Supporting (and capitalising) on all things Veganuary, the lovely little independent will be handing out pies from their much loved plant-based menu to help support London folk who are trying out the vegan lifestyle this month.

Treats on the menu include a three bean pastry and a Mediterranean veg and squash slice – imagine Ginsters, but much posher.

However, where there's a free meal, there's a catch. In exchange for a pie, people will be encouraged to make a pledge to have one vegan day a week for the rest of Veganuary. You'll have to say no to meat, dairy and any other animal products, and proclaim your allegiance to the cause via a simple little tweet.

They're not asking much, then.

Grab your pastries on Great Queen Street near Covent Garden tube station between 11.30am and 2.30pm on Friday January 12, 2018, fryfamilyfood.com
