Light and airy dining: Bluebird

I can't wait to see the Vivienne Westwood exhibition at the V&A (corsets are such a good look for the greedy). An extra incentive appears in the form of an offer from the Bluebird restaurant: entrance to the exhibition plus two-course lunch and early dinner for only £20.

Farringdon restaurant Vivat Bacchus's main selling point for me was its temperature-controlled cheese room: a walk-in cheese lover's dream, lined from floor to ceiling with samples from all over the world.

Their new 'Big Cheese' lunch buys you a thorough exploration - choose yourself or leave it to their 'affineur' - served with charcuterie and homemade chutneys for £15 a head.

Posh kebabs. Mmm... They're utterly addictive. Head to The Cinnamon Club for some seductive examples during their April celebration of the kebab - meats, fish or vegetables marinated and either chargrilled or blasted in the tandoor. There's everything from the familiar to the wildly exotic - how about barbecued goat in garlic and chilli marinade? Or rabbit leg in a rich cashew marinade wrapped in roomali bread?
