Video: Aldo Zilli puts Italian twist on Christmas pudding at Cicchetti

Aldo Zilli is putting an Italian twist on the traditional Christmas pudding.

The celebrity chef is working on a Panettone-based desert which he plans to add to the festive menu at Cicchetti restaurant in central London.

Zilli is the consultant chef for San Carlo’s group of 11 UK restaurants, including Cicchetti, and loves to experiment with seasonal ingredients.

The Panettone Christmas Pudding should make for a tasty addition to the uncomplicated menu which reinterprets the Venetian culinary custom of cicchetti – small plate dishes to share or eat alone, enjoyed with a beer or glass of wine.

Each dish is made on the premises and many of the ingredients are sourced from owner Carlo Di Stefano’s birthplace in Sicily.
