Too Many Critics turn the tables

Too many cooks? Have dinner made by a host of critics
12 April 2012

Instead of reading what the food critics write about restaurant chefs each week, what about eating a dinner cooked by all of them at once?

Having raised £35,000 for Action Against Hunger in 2008, the organisers of Too Many Critics have decided to bring it back this Sunday and there are still tickets left.

The plan is for a three-course dinner to be cooked from the kitchens of Hawksmoor Guildhall restaurant by the likes of the London Evening Standard’s Fay Maschler and Charles Campion, The Times’ Giles Coren, Lucas Hollweg from the Sunday Times, Tracey MacLeod (Independent), Jay Rayner (The Observer) and Bill Knott (Financial Times).

There will also be a crowd of top chefs battling it out alongside, including The Modern Pantry’s Anna Hansen, Pearl’s Jun Tanaka, Vivek Singh of the Cinnamon Club, Pierre Koffman, Bruno Loubet and Clare Smyth from Royal Hospital Road.

Tickets are £120 (includes champagne reception), all proceeds to Action Against Hunger, book from Lizzie Charles 020 8853 7570
