Seabrook tangy barbecue-flavour bread crisps

Filled me up, but an overpowering barbecue tang
8 May 2012

What: Seabrook tangy barbecue-flavour bread crisps (£1.69/100g packet)

Where from: Morrisons (morrisons.co.uk)

Taste assessment: Seabrook claims to have invented a new type of crisp that doesn’t use potato. Baked not fried, these bite-size pieces of bread are low in saturated fat and contain between 101 and 107 calories a handful. So far so good. The bread has a good toasty texture and filled me up but unfortunately the tangy barbecue flavouring is overpowering and has a chemical aftertaste.
