Down the cakehole: Eric Lanlard cakes

Sweet treats: tea at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower features some eye-catching bites
29 March 2012

He has made towering gateaux for Madonna, Elizabeth Hurley and even David Cameron, and now London’s favourite cake boy has created an exclusive five-star tea for us to squabble over.

If you like the sound of dark chocolate teardrops, pistachio financier with rose-flavoured creams or gourmet pop cones filled with passion fruit ganache — you’ll also need £40 in your pocket — reserve a spot for afternoon tea with Eric Lanlard at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in Cadogan Place (jumeirahcarltontower.com).

Failing that, there are still four more days to check out his TV show Baking Mad with Eric Lanlard, which runs at 12.05pm on Channel 4 until Monday.
