What: Serrano ham, buffalo mozzarella and grilled peach ciabatta

Taste: There was a time when some English people mocked ciabatta-based sandwiches as pretentious. If there are any such luddites left, this fine sandwich would surely convert them: flavourful, soft yet crusty ciabatta wrapped around a generous slice of Serrano and good quality mozzarella. And the surprising ingredient – grilled peach, really not sweet in the way you’d imagine, more just an extra layer of flavour and counterpoint to the ham’s saltiness. I wanted another.
