The Cow, Westfield Stratford City - review

Shopping mecca: The Cow does a decent job of being a pub
19 September 2012

It's hard to be objective about a pub connected to the largest shopping centre in Europe (Westfield Stratford City), but this does a decent job of being a pub.

Already proving popular with the locals and part of the Geronimo Inns brand (they were bought earlier this year by Youngs). It's a light and airy space and works pretty well for a new-build pub.

Decent beer is a Geronimo hallmark and most ale drinkers will be happy with the selection - the Redmption Pale Ale was one f the four choices when we were last in. Youngs London Gold, Sharps Cornish Coaster and Adnams Broadside mad up the rest.

A nice addition to the Stratford pub scene and a welcome refuge from the shopping madness just a few hundred metres away. And with views Over the Olympic park, it's well placed for 2012's festivities.

NEAREST STATION: Stratford
FEATURES: Outside space, real ale, Wifi, upstairs dining room with views over Olypmic Park, Real fire, child friendly
