Invented at the legendary Harry’s Bar in Venice in the 1920s, a Bloody Mary remains the only real way to beat a hangover at brunch. And it counts as one of your five a day. Cheers.

A Bloody Mary made with tequila is called a Bloody Maria. Bubbledogs’ new Peg + Patriot version also contains distilled oyster shells, spiced sherry vinegar and smoky scotch.

Connaught Bar

For a truly decadent hangover cure drag yourself to the Connaught — recently named the World’s Best Cocktail Bar at the Spirited Awards in New Orleans. Fresh tomato juice and celery “air” will blow your mind.

Mustard

The clue is in the name of the restaurant: this cocktail replaces the vodka with gin and adds mustard instead of Worcestershire sauce.
