London’s architects may win competitions around the world, but this one really takes the biscuit.

Next month, the London Festival of Architecture will return to the capital – and so will the Great Architectural Bake-Off.

The bake-off will see teams from world leading architecture firms battle it out to recreate iconic buildings using cake.

Last year saw teams reinvent the likes of St Paul’s Cathedral, Battersea Power Station and Niemeyer’s Catedrale de Brasilia.

The 2018 instalment will be hosted by WATG and takes place on June 16 at Guildhall Yard, surrounded by some of the City’s greatest architectural feats, which are sure to inspire the participants.

The culinary constructions will then be judged by an esteemed panel including former RIBA President Jane Duncan, chairman of New London Architecture Peter Murray, Wallpaper* Digital Editor Bethan Ryder and Great British Bake Off competitor and fellow architect Tom Hetherington.
