Reading confirms a host of new names for Festival Republic stage

5 April 2012

Festival season stalwart the Reading and Leeds weekend has added a raft of names to the line-up for this year's event.

Headlining at Little John's Farm this August will be My Chemical Romance, Pulp and Muse, as well as the unrivalled king's of garage indie, The Strokes.

The latest names confirmed to grace the Festival Republic stage include the soulful YouTube-spawn vocals of Ed Sheeran, electro-house pioneers Digitalism, and one the most talked about bands of 2011, Brother.

These new editions bring together an already jam-packed schedule across five stages. As the newest edition the Festival Republic stage will offer an A to Z of the best new British talent across all genres.

Headliners for the Festival Republic stage include The Horrors and Pete Doherty.

Held over three days on the last weekend in August, Reading and Leeds 2011 will bring together hundreds of acts, bands, DJs, performers and comedians for one of the UK's most exciting summer events.
