Paradise Gardens Festival

Join the revellers at the new London Pleasure Gardens for a free family festival
29 June 2012

This weekend a London tradition will be reborn with the Paradise Gardens Festival - a free family affair and a feast for all the senses in the new London Pleasure Gardens site.

Up until 200 years ago, London was littered with these so called pleasure gardens where friends and families would come together for a stroll, a flirt or a dance while surrounded by outdoor entertainment of every variety. Now with the opening of the London Pleasure Gardens on the old Royal Docklands, we have a garden for the 21st Century.

And boy are they opening a summer of festivities with a bang...this weekend the gardens are hosting a spectacular free festival that anyone and everyone is welcome to. There'll be pyrotechnic theatre, live music including the Correspondents and reggae legends Musical Youth, a vintage funfair, pop-up performances, foodie treats, a hokey cokey world record attempt, cocktail bars, a silly Olympics from around the world...you name it.

Don't miss this grand opening...it's free so there's really no excuse.

Paradise Gardens Festival is on Saturday June 30 from 1pm-11pm and Sunday July 1 from 1pm-10pm. For more information visit londonpleasuregardens.com
