Star Wars – The Exhibition

It's 30 years since the release of the first instalment of George Lucas's epic sci-fi adventure and County Hall is celebrating the anniversary with a major exhibition of memorabilia.

The 30,000 square foot exhibition launches on 5 May and will give the public a rare insight into the making of the six films, with 280 original props, vehicles, costumes and models on show.

The items are on loan from the Lucasfilm Archives in California and include Darth Vader's costume, Queen Amidala's wardrobe, Anakin Skywalker's pod racer and the original models of droids C3PO and R2D2 and Jedi master Yoda

Visitors will also be able to take part in rigorous Jedi training and will be able to join their favourite characters on screen with the help of green screen simulation.

Star Wars - The Exhibition is at County Hall from 5 May to 1 September 2007, 10am to 8pm. Tickets cost £16.50 adults, £12.50 child, Under5s free. Visit www.starwarstheexhibition.com to book.
