End of the Road for the festival season

The secret's out: Noah and the Whale will play at the End of the Road Festival
5 April 2012
End of the Road Festival
12-14 September, Larmer Tree Gardens, north Dorset

0870 230 2605 £105 for the weekend

As the name suggests, this is pretty much the last of the string of summer festivals.

With only 5,000 people, this intimate event is more Secret Garden than Reading or V, and was inspired by Wales's Green Man folk festival.

There won't be any overhyped superstars on stage, but a carefully selected crew, including the folk rock band Noah and the Whale, US indie singer Micah P Hinson, improvising rockers Akron/ Family, Robyn Hitchcock, Wave Pictures, The Constantines and Swedish oddballs Wild Birds and Peace Drums.

And in true festival vein, the music will be washed down with organic fare and beer, plus tremendous views, comedy, a cinema tent and peacocks roving the site.
