BFI launches Cassavetes season

The BFI's tribute to maverick American filmmaker John Cassavetes gets under way on Friday.

Five of the trend-setting writer-director's films will be playing over the next fortnight, with three, Opening Night (2pm,5.30pm and 8.15pm), A Woman Under Influence (5.20pm) and his debut movie Shadows (8.40pm) being shown on Friday, June 15.
