A spectacular three-day festival of Ukrainian art, fashion and music comes to the capital next week, offering Londoners the chance to experience the best of Ukraine’s rich heritage and vibrant contemporary culture. Days of Ukraine in the UK takes place from 17 October to 19 October in some of this city’s most famous locations including the London Library, the Saatchi Gallery and Potters Field Park.

The programme of events is organised by the Firtash Foundation – with the support of Group DF – an international group of companies based in Ukraine, and it offers entertainment for the entire family. Mr Firtash will symbolically open Days of Ukraine in the UK by opening the London Stock Exchange on 17 October.

Day two of the festival will feature a literature evening in the London Library, with readings of classics and modern Ukrainian poetry, including the great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko.

The Saatchi Gallery will be hosting two events – an exhibition of Ukrainian art and a fashion show of leading Ukrainian designers. The art exhibition will be showcasing for the first time some of the most influential artists on the Ukrainian and the international art scene including works of contemporary Ukrainian artists Alexander Roitburd and Pavlo Makov. The fashion show will present the creme de la creme of Ukrainian fashion design in a runway show featuring leading lights of the fashion world such as Bevza and design duo KAMENSKA KONONOVA.

The three days culminate on 19 October at Potters Field Park where traditional arts and crafts, food and music will provide fun for children and adults in a stylised Ukrainian village. The finale of the festival will be a concert at Potters Field Park, featuring the very best of Ukrainian pop, rock and folk artists, offering a unique taste of traditional and contemporary Ukrainian music!

The concert and fair are totally free to the public and you can apply for tickets to the exclusive opening of the art exhibition and exciting fashion show at the Saatchi Gallery, as well as to the literature evening at the London Library, by visiting the Days of Ukraine in the UK Facebook page CLICK HERE.
