Will & Grace: Deborah Messing and Eric McCormack return to screens in all-singing, all-dancing musical trailer

The clip takes us behind the scenes as Will tries to convince a reluctant Grace to join the reunion

It’s been over 10 years since Will & Grace finished, but the beloved sitcom is due to make a return to screens later this year.

A new trailer gives fans a glimpse of what the 12-episode reunion series has in store.

The 5-minute clip begins in the NBC offices, where Will (played by Eric McCormack) and Grace (played by Debra Messing) are just leaving a meeting with Bob Greenblatt, head of entertainment.

Despite just having secured a deal for the new series, Grace is reluctant to rejoin the cast and it’s up to Will to convince her.

“I’m not doing it. I don’t really have the time”, she says, to which Will quips “All you do is Instagram!”

They step into the office elevator, Will presses a button marked ‘Something else’ and the pair arrive in the set of the apartment they shared in the sitcom.

After reminiscing about their time there - “How many fake shows did we not watch on that prop TV?”, asks Will. “So many”, Grace replies - they find co-character Karen (Megan Mullally) asleep on the sofa.

Before long they’re joined by the flamboyant Jack (Sean Hayes) and the four co-stars are reunited.

The trailer even features a musical number where Grace, still struggling to overcome her reluctance to participate in the new show, bursts into song and her fellow characters join in to persuade her to return.

The revival came about thanks to a 10-minute election special episode which showed the four discussing Donald Trump. After the clip went viral the show’s broadcaster NBC officially announced a new series was on its way.

The Will & Grace reunion series will debut later this year on NBC.
