Holly Willoughby has undergone a dramatic transformation into a ‘zombie ice unicorn’ for This Morning’s Halloween special episode.

Willoughby said dressing up as the mythical creature, which saw her don white fluffy trousers and a multi-coloured tail with matching horn, as "the best day of my life".

She said: “I’m not joking, this is the best day of my life! I’m a real unicorn. I’ve got a tail! Love it.”

Meanwhile, her co-host Phillip Schofield dressed up as Game of Thrones villain the Night King after spending four hours in makeup with the HBO show’s prosthetics team.

It was the first time a British celebrity that’s not a member of the cast had been made-up by the official team.

Schofield revealed that he wasn’t able to speak while in character, as the Night King is famously silent.

“I’m a massive fan of the show,” he said. “The chance to do this was something I couldn’t possibly pass up.

“Because the Night King doesn’t speak, we all agreed that the first he spoke it wouldn’t be a brilliant idea if he spoke in my voice! So, I’m remaining totally in character.”

The rest of the team weren’t left out of the fright night fun either, with Rylan Clark-Neal transforming into Maleficent and Alison Hammond embodying Ursula from The Little Mermaid.
