Bringing the brilliant and the bizarre in equal measure, The X Factor is back for another round of auditions.

After Episode 3 brought the bonkers sob story of Ottavio and Bradley and a spine-tingling performances from Kayleigh Marie Morgan, the latest instalment brought a singing couple and a ‘living doll’.

Here are the auditions you need to see from Episode 4.

1) Tom and Laura

It’s one thing putting your self-esteem on the line for the X Factor – but boyfriend and girlfriend duo Tom and Laura are putting their relationship out there as a singing group.

The pair proved themselves to be in perfect harmony as they gave a sweet acoustic performance of Kings of Leon – Sex on Fire.

2) Freddy Parker

It’s a brave move to take on Amy Winehouse, but 18 year-old singer Freddy Parker gave a good shot at Love Is A Losing Game.

Accompanying himself on the piano, he proved one of the most promising talents in the Boys category.

3) Chanal Benjilali

While being called ‘very relevant’ by Simon Cowell doesn’t necessarily give you cool points, he was right in the case of Chanal Benjilali.

Her rendition of Lauryn Hill’s Ex Factor set her apart from other contestants in the Girls category – and R&B singer Nicole was clearly a big fan.

4) Sada Vidoo

Simon Cowell seemed to have a near-existential crisis when confronted with Sada Vidoo – who claims she’s a living doll.

“This is me, I’m a doll,” she helpfully answered when he asked if it was her ‘image’ as an artist.

Still, he seemed to get over it once she sang a dramatic dubstep-influenced cover of Pat Benatar’s Love Is A Battlefield. Weird, but strangely entrancing.

5) Marianna Zappi

Italian-born Marianna Zappi has been living in London for eight years, and took herself to the X Factor after escaping an abusive relationship.

“For someone who was caged for so long, freedom is such a blessing,” she said ahead of her performance of Bob Marley classic Redemption Song.
