The Voice 2016: TV star Mike Berry and a Eurovision hopeful - everything you need to know about episode 6

A bunch of contestants take to the stage in a bid to make the judges turn their chairs

The latest series of The Voice has had its fair share of famous contestants from Liberty X’s Kevin Simms to Crackerjack star Bernie Clifton – and this weekend is no exception.

Here are our best bits from episode six:

1) Are You Being Served? star Mike Berry

Mike Berry who played Mr Spooner in BBC sitcom Are You Being Served? has swapped acting to move back into singing. He was convinced to have a go on the show by his friend Chas - of Chas and Dave fame. The veteran entertainer, 73, said he is "singing better than he ever did", but will his rendition of Buddy Holly’s True Love Ways be enough to take him through to the Battle Rounds?

2) Former Eurovision hopeful Paul Phoenix

It’s not the first time Paul Phoenix has found his singing come under scrutiny in front of a panel of judges. Phoenix sang with Love City Groove in the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest and ranked a “respectable tenth”. On Saturday he will take on Adele’s Chasing Pavements in a bid to get to the next round.

3) First transgender winner of The Voice?

Watch out for Jordan Gray – who the Mirror claim is poised to make history as the first transgender winner of The Voice. Gray is tackling Bob Dylan's 1966 hit Just Like A Woman, but will it be enough to make the judges turn their chairs?
