Only two contestants were eliminated from the quarter-finals after Chloe Castro and Beth Morris withdrew from the competition ahead of the show.

Harry Fisher gave a bold performance of Space Oddity and Lauren Lapsley-Browne was praised for her “bonkers” but “entertaining” cover of Dreamer but neither were saved by the public votes and were eliminated.

Lyrickal, Jordan Grey, Kevin Simm and Cody Frost were all given fast passes straight to the live-finals from their coaches leaving the fate of the remaining six artists in the hands of the public.

Soul singer Jolan was the first to be saved by viewer’s votes closely followed by Lydia and Vangelis leaving Heather, Lauren and Harry to await their fate.

Will.I.Am nervously clutched his Easter bunny teddy as he waited to see who would be saved and was left disappointed that Lauren AKA dimples didn’t make the cut alongside Harry from Team Boy George.

Earlier in the show, Lydia Lucy admitted to feeling “sick” and “shaking’’ during the knockouts last week but delivered a confident opening performance of What Am I Supposed To Do?

Paloma Faith praised her saying “I can only imagine being able to reach the dizzying heights of her vocal ability.”

Lyrickal gave a tearful performance of ‘Just Like a Child’, which was met with a standing ovation.

Will. I.Am said he “more than delivered” and chose to take Lyrical straight to the semi-final despite the audience cheering to save Lydia saying he had “faith in the public vote.”

With just two performers, Team Paloma were at a disadvantage, but still managed to pulled off two great performance.

Heather Cameron-Hayes performed Stitches while playing the piano, and Jordan Gray giving a dramatic rendition of Shake It Off which earned her a fast pass to the next round.

Ricky Wilson was left with a tough decision after Jolan’s performance of Yes was deemed “flawless”.

Former Liberty X member Kevin was praised by Will as having “the most amazing voice on the show (and) one of the best voices in the music industry.

An indecisive Ricky eventually gave Kevin the fast pass.

And the final pass from team Boy George went to Cody Frost whose performance of Ordinary World secured her place in the semi-finals despite technical difficulties.

Next week’s semi-finals promises to be an interesting show as, for the first time, all the remaining contestants will be performing with their coaches.
