An emotional Susanna Reid fought back tears as she met Charlotte Campbell, the mother of a 15-year-old girl who died in the Manchester Arena bombing.

Following Sunday night’s One Love Manchester concert, the presenter spoke to Campbell about her meeting with Ariana Grande on Monday’s Good Morning Britain.

The host had previously spoken with Campbell in the aftermath of the attack when the mum-of-three contacted the show desperately trying to track down her missing daughter.

Olivia was later confirmed as one of the 22 victims who died in the terrorist incident.

"This is the first time I we have met and I have seen you since that conversation,” she said.

"I felt personally really affected by it. We heard the emotion in your voice.

"I just wanted to say personally, thank you so much for coming back to talk to us."

After Ariana Grande paid tribute to Olivia during last night’s One Love Manchester benefit concert, Campbell described how the star had changed her entire set list to reflect what her young fan would have wanted.

“She (Ariana) wanted to play her non-hits, she didn't feel it appropriate to play her big ones,” she said.

"We said no, you play your hits. You sing your heart out. Make everyone get up and sing the same thing."

When asked to describe her daughter by Morgan, Campbell described Olivia as ‘gobby’, but ‘kind and caring’ too.

"She was the gobbiest 15-year-old you ever met. But she was the kindest and caring 15-year-old. If you met her, you wouldn't forget her."
