Survival Of The Fittest star James Middleton broke down in tears during Wednesday night’s show.

Georgia Toffolo’s ex-boyfriend become emotional in The Treehouse as he discussed his friendship with Ryan Cleary, a day after viewers lashed out at Middleton.

Fans of the ITV2 show branded Middleton a “snake” for going after the same girl – Georgie Clarke - as pal Cleary.

And, during the show, Cleary told Clarke that he is bisexual after becoming increasingly concerned Middleton would “throw him under the bus” and tell the beauty first.

Cleary and Middleton decided to clear the air with a heart-to-heart, with Middleton telling his friend that he would “drop Georgie in a heartbeat for their friendship”.

He told Cleary: “Georgie is a closed book, she doesn’t really give much away which makes it hard because it’s hard to read… I’ve never been in this situation so it’s just difficult.”

Cleary replied: “The only thing I said is I want to keep our bro code tight because we are doing so well. It’s obvious that we’re fond of Georgie for whatever reason. I was saying to the lads, let’s keep her in, I think she is great.

'I’ve got love for you bro… I think you’re a really decent lad. We are all from different areas and we are from different places but we bond and we get on and I genuinely like you and I feel easy around you, I feel comfortable around you,” he added.

And in the Treehouse, where contestants go to air their feelings, Middleton began to cry as he said: “I just feel bad because I really like Ryan, he’s such a good guy.”

But fans weren't buying any of it, with many slamming him for his "fake" crying.
