Anita Rani has been announced to join the celebrity line-up of Strictly Come Dancing when the series returns this Autumn.
The TV and radio presenter, who regularly appears on The One Show, and has worked across a variety of broadcasters in the UK, has become the 11th contestant to be announced for the new series.
"So many elements of Strictly terrify me but I shall try and think #BeyonceAlwaysOnBeat as I hit the dance floor,” said Rani. “I'm so excited to indulge that fantasy and hopefully learn some mean moves in the process. Let's get our groove on."
Rani will be competing against the following names when the show returns to BBC One shortly: Jeremy Vine, celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott, EastEnders’ Kellie Bright, Coronation Street’s Georgia May Foote, BBC Presenter Katie Derham, weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, singers Peter Andre and Daniel O’Donnell, Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo, and The Wanted singer Jay McGuinness.
Call The Midwife star Helen George and fashion guru Gok Wan are also said to be joining the show, but have not yet been confirmed by the BBC.
