As if the excitement of the Strictly Come Dancing final wasn’t enough, the series’ glittery finale also saw two of the nation’s favourite shows come together in a way nobody expected.

Following the first dance of the night, from ex-The Wanted pop star Jay McGuiness, a very special guest popped up to read the voting terms and conditions.

Yes, the Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry made a brief appearance alongside Strictly host Claudia Winkleman to relay the voting information.

While she wasn’t quite as slick at reading off cue cards as we all know she is at whipping up delicious bakes, people were delighted to see the queen of Bake Off return to their screens.

In fact, some even took to Twitter to suggest that Berry should become a regular fixture on next year’s show.

Not everyone was such a fan of Berry’s laid-back presenting style though.

Still, with months left until Bake Off returns to our screens in 2016, it was undeniably brilliant to see Mary Berry back on our screens.
