Stephen Fry to co-star with Joel McHale in CBS comedy pilot The Great Indoors

Stephen Fry is set to star in a brand new comedy pilot for US network CBS.

The British comedian and presenter, who recently relocated to LA, has a role in The Great Indoors opposite Joel McHale.

Written by Mike Gibbons and directed by Andy Ackerman, the comedy is set inside the offices of a travel magazine.

Fry will play Antonio, the founder of The Great Outdoors magazine, who is a great explorer and adventurer.

McHale plays his reporter, who has to adapt to the changing journalistic landscape when he is tasked with heading up a team of millennials in the digital department.

Other cast members include Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Christine Ko.

Fry filmed a pilot for show Super Clyde back in 2013 opposite Rupert Grint, which is now in the works with Mark Addy in the lead role.

The British star, who stepped down from his role as host of QI last year, is known to US audiences for his appearances in Bones and 24: Live Another Day.
