It's never too early to get your guesses in

Cackling queens, tributes to the actual monarch and 10lbs of make-up. It could only be RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

The British version of the hit show has debuted and for the next seven weeks, a new instalment will arrive on BBC Three every Thursday night.

Thanks to teasers from the Beeb - and the fact Drag Race pretty much sticks to its winning formula - we know plenty about what is coming up, including challenge details and the celebrity guests.

But there is a lot we’re still in the dark on.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK Queens - In Pictures

1/11

Who could win? Which queens are going to have the best runway looks? Here are our predictions for the rest of the series…

Watching RuPaul gets to grips with British culture will never get old

One of the episode’s highlights came early on, as Ru received a crash course in all things Kim Woodburn. Seeing the US superstar getting a lesson in the cleaner-turned-Celebrity Big Brother housemate’s antics was TV gold and thankfully, us Brits have plenty more where that came from.

Hopefully David’s Dead 101 and The Life And Times of Kat Slater are on the syllabus for later in the series.

Cheryl Hole’s close call could be an early game changer

Thanks to her role in Gals Aloud and penchant for talking all things Drag Race to anyone who would listen, Cheryl is one of the series’ most-hyped contestants.

As a result, she has a lot to live up to but fell short on Thursday, narrowly avoiding the bottom two after failing to impress with her second runway look.

There’s nothing like a near miss to push a queen into bringing her A-game though and being dangerously close to lip-syncing could be the nudge she needs.

The Vivienne will make it to the final

Having impressed in the mini challenge, she turned out two stunning looks in the runway; an instantly-recognisable homage to Pete Burns and laugh-out-loud funny impression of the Queen at Balmoral.

Her runway outfits were so impressive that her decision to wear flats were given a rare pass by Michelle Visage.

It’s tough to call the competition this early on but the quick-witted Liverpudlian is surely set to have a place in the final.

There’ll be more tears

If you haven’t seen Drag Race before then you might be surprised to have discovered things often get a little emotional in the work room.

The series opener saw Vinegar Strokes in tears after receiving her critiques from the judges, with her emotional display setting off a number of her competitors.

As things get more intense - and more queens leave the show - we predict plenty more tearful moments.

Blue Hydrangea’s looks are ones to watch out for

Making her way into the werk room, Blue promised impressive ensembles and she certainly delivered with her £1 coin-inspired Queen look.

Blue was one of only two contestants to truly think outside of the box - the other being Sum Ting Wong, who put herself in a box to recreate a stamp - and we cannot wait to see what else she delivers.

Disputes are on the horizon

We love Baga Chipz’ larger than life personality but as things get more intense, it wouldn’t be surprising if she clashing with some of the other competitors.

The sneak peek also revealed that Cheryl will lock horns with The Vivienne in the werk room. Will they be able to withstand the pressure and put their differences aside?

New episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK arrive on BBC Three every Thursday at 8pm.
