Piers Morgan's Life Stories: How to watch Mel B's explosive interview on ITV

The Spice Girls star is the first guest to get a grilling from Morgan in the new series

Piers Morgan’s Life Stories is back for its sixteenth series - and the next episode might be the most anticipated yet.

The show hit the headlines back in March, after Morgan filmed an interview with Spice Girls star Mel B (real name Melanie Brown) in which she claimed that she had slept with bandmate Geri Horner (nee Halliwell) during the group’s 90s heyday.

Now, the explosive episode is set to air on ITV, coinciding with the start of the girl band’s reunion tour.

With a star-studded array of interviewees lined up for the rest of the series too, Morgan’s show looks set to be unmissable viewing.

Morgan certainly has a knack of coaxing revelations from his guests. The most recent batch of episodes saw Kim Cattrall open up about her alleged feud with Sex and the City co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, memorably telling Morgan that she was “never friends” with her colleagues on the HBO show.

Brown smiled and nodded when pressed by Morgan over whether she and Horner shared a bed “like that,” adding that her bandmate was “going to hate [her] for this.”

“She’s all posh in her country house with her husband, but it’s a fact,” she said.

“It just happened and we giggled at it and that was it. We were best friends.”

“Geri loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie [Chisholm] and Victoria [Beckham],” a statement from her representatives said. “She would like [fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family.”

According to ITV, the singer is also set to discuss her battles with drugs and alcohol, her recent divorce from Stephen Belafonte and her previous romance with actor Eddie Murphy.

Who else will feature on the series?

Michael Barrymore, I’m A Celebrity winner Harry Redknapp, Sir Michael Parkinson and Morgan’s sometime Twitter sparring partner Lord Alan Sugar will be subjected to a grilling later in the series.

Discussing his interview, Apprentice boss Sugar said: “I know he’ll try to make me cry but he’s got more chance of becoming Pope. Morgan talks a great game but can’t walk it, as viewers will discover with this interview.”
