ITV series My Mum, Your Dad, hosted by Davina McCall, follows a group of single parents looking for love with their children secretly spying on them and making dating decisions.

In the first series of the reality TV show, we watched eight parents looking for love in a countryside resort.

“But there’s a twist - unbeknownst to the parents, their kids will be watching their every move from a nearby location called ‘The Bunker’,” the official synopsis read.

“It is there in the surveillance room that they’ll be able to witness all the action of their parents’ journeys to find love, plus get the opportunity to play matchmaker and decide their mum or dad’s dating fate.”

The show started on Monday, September 11 at 9pm. It ran on consecutive weeknights for two weeks, with the final episode airing on Friday, September 22.

Will there be a season 2 of My Mum, Your Dad?

Though ITV have not confirmed if there will be a second series of My Mum, Your Dad, it’s not all bad news. The US version of My Mum, Your Dad will be available to watch on ITVX from December 21.

The eight-episode season is presented by The Blackening and Insecure star Yvonne Orji and originally aired in January 2022 in the US.

“From humorous cringe moments to heartwarming confessions, the kids will see their parents in a whole new light,” the synopsis reads.

“As they are presented with opportunities to select who they’ll be matched with on one-on-one dates, and who may join the family Thanksgiving for years to come.”

Hopefully, a second UK series is on the cards, however. On joining the series for season one, Davina McCall said: “I’m so so excited to host My Mum, Your Dad. This show will have you so invested in the people in it.

“Fascinating, vibrant individuals who have lived incredible lives already, with a million life lessons under their belts, as they search for their perfect life partner. But also with the juiciest twist of any show I’ve ever worked on.”
