A new series of Love Island is just around the corner, promising more dates, more drama and a brand new batch of personalised water bottles.

With days to go before the grafting gets started in earnest, ITV has treated fans to a sneak preview of this year’s luxurious Majorcan villa.

The extravagant property has had a bold makeover for 2019, featuring bright colours, a new selection of neon lights and an enviably well-equipped glam room.

Catchphrases from past seasons like “a bit of me” and “crack on” also make an appearance, scrawled on everything from walls to gym equipment in cursive font.

The curved white bench and outdoor sofas are also back, ready to act as a backdrop for countless chats about where contestants’ “heads are at” and who is whose “type on paper,” while the famous fire pit is primed for a surprise appearance from host Caroline Flack.

The infamous Hideaway looks very similar to its 2018 incarnation, albeit with a bolder pink colour scheme. Plus, show bosses have chosen to move the hot tub away from the main villa towards this special rendez-vous spot after claiming that islanders didn’t use it enough in past seasons.

The Beach Hut is also back for some emotional - and hilarious - confessional moments, complete with an array of comfy cushions.

The latest line-up of singletons was unveiled earlier this week, with Tyson Fury’s younger brother Tommy and Strictly star AJ Pritchard’s brother Curtis among those looking for love.

Show bosses have already confirmed that the opening episode will feature a special twist, with two of the 12 contestants held back until after the first 10 have entered - and presumably coupled up.

“In terms of the format we’re going to do some tweaks - there’s a tiny bit of a change to the opening,” ITV Studios Entertainment managing director Angela Jain told The Sun.

“The islanders do not know. There’s ten coming into the villa but in a twist there are two more boys that will appear later in the opening show.”

Love Island returns to ITV2 on Monday, June 3 at 9pm.
