Will Love Island hero Dr Alex have to battle another ‘snake’ for new girls Ellie and Zara?

Love Island moved on from the loss of Hayley and Charlie pretty quickly, even by show standards, with two new girls, Ellie and Zara - and it looks good for Dr Alex.

Alright, so we’ve said that before and it’s never worked out for the dishy doctor, but we’re prepared to start again after Essex girl Zara admitted he is the “loveliest guy she has ever met”, adding that she’d be open to pursuing things with him.

Sadly for Alex and the adoring public, we’ve heard that before in similar words with old new girl Megan, who was poached by Eyal when she arrived.

Earlier, Alex had said: “I’m not going to just couple up with someone for the sake of just wanting to stay on the island, it’s a matter of finding and meeting someone I genuinely have a connection with, that I genuinely fancy and like and I want to be with”.

Is this the beginning of Alex’s journey? Or is there a snake just around the corner?

The answer to that? Yes, and the reptile goes by the name of Adam who declared to the Beach Hut cameras that he finds Zara, who is just his type, quite attractive.

Worse still, Zara admitted to cameras that she also finds Adam rather fit but she’s dubious about the situation with him and Rosie. She’d probably be even more apprehensive if she knew what they got up to under the covers, somewhat taking their relationship to the “next level”.

And, while we’re there Alex, viewers think you could be in danger of trying too hard with your chat.

Elsewhere, Dani and Jack are constantly talking to each other - and the others - about their relationship and where they are, or aren’t.

After spending the night in the hideaway, Jack made Dani breakfast in bed (/on rooftop terrace) and they both admitted they are very happy in their couple.

But one person it is fairly safe to say, at least at this point, Dani isn’t a fan of is performing arts student Georgia, who managed to annoy just about every girl in the villa.

First, Georgia rubbed suncream into Jack’s back before soaking Laura. But the air hostess soon let her know that her behaviour wasn’t going to fly as she drenched her right back with water balloons made from condoms.

Love Island continues Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
