This year’s Love Island contestants have been announced with Lauren Richardson, who was pictured with Zayn Malik in Thailand, leading the line-up.
Joining 11 other single boys and girls, the 26-year-old will head to Mallorca for the re-vamped reality show, hosted by Caroline Flack.
Discussing her reasons for doing the show, Richardson said: “It’s exciting, something different from the ordinary.I’ve been single for three and a half years, so I’m looking for love.”

Discussing her alleged fling with the former One Direction star, she said: “I met Zayn Malik in a nightclub in Thailand. It got blown out of all proportion. But that’s a long story.”
The community sports manager is joined by a line-up of models, former athletes, Playboy Bunnies and IT consultants.
Residing in a luxury villa with cameras on them at all times, the contestants – all contributors – will find their fate in the hands of the public.
Host Flack admitted that she has high hopes for the outcome, saying: “A wedding! And babies! I definitely think that’s possible. I met my last boyfriend on holiday. Things can happen like that."
Discussing her own match-making skills, she said: “I have match made before, a couple of times. Sometimes I get it really wrong.”
Love Island debuts on ITV2 on Sunday June 7 at 9pm.
