Celebrity Big Brother viewers have accused producers of ‘fixing’ the show in favour of Ann Widdecombe.

The former Conservative MP – who has angered some fans with her opinions on LGBT rights – survived Tuesday night’s second triple eviction to bag herself a place in the final.

Viewers slammed Widdecombe’s “constant censorship and eye-rolling at anything fun” in a series that was intended to celebrate the centenary of women being granted the right to vote.

One viewer tweeted: “Why has every interview been about Ann? Ffs we get it BB you’ll fix it so she wins. If she does then your Year of The Woman is a f****** joke. #CBB.”

Another posted: “Ann Widdecombe in the final?!!! Oh BB you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Biggest FIX going!!!! @bbuk #CBB #BB #CelebrityBigBrother.”

Widdecombe will battle it out with Wayne Sleep, Jess Impiazzi, Shane Lynch and Shane Jenek, also known as Courtney Act, in Friday night’s live final after Ashley James, Malika Haaq and Amanda Barrie were sent packing on Tuesday.

Widdecombe is the current favourite to follow in the footsteps of last year's winner Coleen Nolan with Betfair placing her odds at 6/4.

The opinionated politician has clashed with several housemates on gay rights, decorum and abortion, but James described her as a “good spirit” while Jonny Mitchell and Dapper Laughs, real name Daniel O’Reilly, both backed her to win.

Speaking to Emma Willis after he eviction James said: “She speaks her mind and you don’t need to offend her because she’s so clear on what her opinions and morals are.

“I think she’s a good spirit, I don’t agree with a lot of her opinions, but I think she’s just a funny person who knows what she likes and what she doesn’t like.”

Haaq, who hit out at Widdecombe during an argument with Jenek, said: “I was being overprotective for someone else, it was never because I thought she was a horrible person, I just never connected with her.”
