I’m A Celebrity campmates finally get a meal after Amir Khan scrapes through Bushtucker Trial

The I’m A Celebrity campmates were finally able to enjoy a meal after Amir Khan completed his latest Bushtucker Trial by the skin of his teeth.

After his poor performance during Monday night’s show, which left the campmates without a proper meal, the British boxer managed to win the Flushed Out challenge on Tuesday.

Khan was chosen by the public to face the daily trial once again, which involved retrieving keys submerged in a tank of water containing crayfish and eels in just 10 minutes.

“Maybe they found it funny me being scared.Me being a world champion boxer but scared of little bugs,” he told Ant and Dec ahead of the task.

“The camp is hungry. Basically I need to win. The team needs to work together now. They were very motivating before I left.”

And while he got off to a good start, the sportsperson only narrowly-averted disaster when he dropped one of the keys needed to unlock a box of stars at the last minute.

Thankfully for the entire camp, Khan managed to pull it back from the brink and dived down to retrieve the lost spanner for a second time.

“I was so focused. I wouldn’t let me team mates down in camp. It was so hard in there honestly. I can go back now and make my camp smile,” he said after the trial.

Ant and Dec then handed him the all-important meal ticket, meaning that six campmates were able to eat.

“It was exciting, it was challenging. It was very, very hard but we’ve already got five guaranteed meals and I‘ve got one extra one for my team. It makes me very happy today. I’m very proud of myself,” he added.

Later that evening Stanley and Shappi joined Toff, Jennie, Vanessa and Becky for dinner in Snake Rock, while the rest of the camp had to settle for rice and beans again.
