I’m A Celebrity’s Kez Dugdale and Amir Khan have come to blows over the best way to build the camp fire, with the politician blaming their disagreement on a gender divide.

After Khan instructed her to remove one of the logs, Dugdale explained in the Bush Telegraph that she felt Khan’s attitude was ‘boys make fire, girls just sub'.

“Man make fire, that’s their attitude. Boys make fire and girls just sub and help out when they are not around to keep things going,” she said.

With tensions building between the two in Monday’s show, they ended up in a heated debate over the best way to keep the camp’s source of warmth going.

As Khan suggested Dugdale might want to reduce the size of the fire to preserve logs, she told him: “I’m going to just do it this way if that’s ok because I’m going to boil up some water and get the water sorted out. What’s wrong with it the way it is?”

To which the boxer hit back: “Because you are wasting logs!”

As he removed one log, Dugdale tried to diffuse the tension by compromising, saying: “Right you’ve saved one log, let’s compromise at that.”

But Khan still wasn’t satisfied and later vented his frustrations in the Bush Telegraph and to fellow campmate Jamie Lomas.

He said: “She’s just mad isn’t she, she’s got a s*** load of logs on there and I said ‘no point wasting logs just keep one or two on there’.

“I took one off and she said why did I only take one off I should have taken another one off, there’s no point arguing with her.”

Elsewhere, Iain Lee impressed his campmates by bringing home 11 stars after tackling the Space Your Fears challenge.

I’m A Celebrity continues Wednesday, November 29 at 9pm on ITV.
