The first trailer for Season 5 of Girls has arrived, and it seems that star, creator, writer, and director Lena Dunham is going to be as fearless – and funny – as ever.

The teaser shows main character Hannah in a dance class pulling some ridiculous shapes, and being interrupted by her mother.

Best of all for fans of the show, the trailer confirms that the new series will be airing on HBO in the States on Sunday February 21, 2016.

The series will likely air in the UK shortly after on Sky Atlantic.

The no-hold-barred comedy-drama series follows four twenty-something female friends in New York city as they try to make their way in work, friendships and relationships.

With Dunham now approaching 30, she has suggested that Girls might wrap up after its sixth season. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, she said: “I started working on this show when I was 23, and now I’m going to be 30 so it kind of feels right that this show kind of sandwiched my 20s and then I go off into the world!”
